| ON
arriving at Absolutely Nails for my appointment I was warmly welcomed
and felt relaxed straight away.
Even the walk along Pawnshop Passage sets the scene for a relaxing visit, as its peace and quiet instantly transports you away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Absolutely Nails is a clean, warm and inviting place with tasteful decor making it the perfect place to achieve a perfect you!

| As
I sat down with a coffee, the proprietor, Sue Sharpe, gave me a full consultation
before applying acrylic extensions to my nails.
She advised what would look best for me in terms of shape, whether to have them square, round, painted or with a French manicure. Sue also explained how to keep my nails in tip top condition to make them last three months or more, explaining that to keep my nails looking fabulous I can just go along to Absolutely Nails every two-three weeks or so and have them rebalanced to restore the perfect look. The
great advantage is, the acrylic extensions don't damage the natural
nail underneath. Your real nails even grow underneath. It's good to know that my nails are always looking perfect and never need my attention to stay that way. Looking
after the home and my two year old daughter Sophie puts a lot Going to Absolutely Nails not only allows me to have my nails perfected but also gives me the opportunity to indulge in other beauty treatments (I have put a handy list of the huge range on offer below). Click here to see the list. Sue
and her staff, Sophie Whomsley (Beautician) and Claire Elwis(Trainee
Nail Technician), are so friendly and chatty, it makes my visits to
Absolutely Nails even more of a treat. |
|
| I
must mention Sues claims to fame in the world of celebrities - she
has even applied Nail Enhancements to Jordan and Stephanie Beacham (it's
always great to feel that you are getting the celebrity treatment, and
good to know that it's not at a celebrity price!)
I also had the one hour Swedish massage, not because I especially thought I needed one, I just thought it would be something different to experience, and quite frankly we all need and deserve a bit of pampering sometimes. During the massage I could physically feel the knot in my back and the pains Ive had in my upper back and neck melt away. I was so pleased I had the treatment and felt so much better afterwards - almost a bit too chilled out, but I certainly wasn't complaining. The treatment room was totally relaxing with calming music and Sophie was so friendly and yet professional. Also, it was completely private and I knew there was no danger of anyone walking in the room. I have also had several waxing treatments, I thought they would be painful but they are not. The
staff put you at ease and make you feel comfortable - I quite enjoyed
it! Tanning is great too - and safety is no issue as a full consultation is conducted with each client to assess their individual needs. There
are just so many treatments you can have - even in a lunch hour.
Opening
times: Monday - Friday 9-5pm and Saturdays 9-1pm. Absolutely
