THe playgroup meets every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.10am to 11.40am.

It is in a mobile classroom in the grounds of St Margaret's Primary School and also has use of a playground and field for outdoor activities.

Withern Playgroup is regulated by Ofsted and the latest inspection found it provides a good quality and standard of care for children.

The six areas of learning are -

• Personal, social and emotional
• Communication, Language and literature
• Knowledge and understanding of the world
• Mathematics
• Creativity
• Physical Education

The children are encouraged to practice a high standard
of hygiene.

There are three members of staff, two of which have an Early Years qualification, equivalent to an NVQ3.

There are 20 places for pre-school children available which includes funding for three and four year olds.

Fees, which are reviewed annually, are £5.50 per session for two to three year olds.
A Mother and Toddler Group is held on Wednesday afternoons from 1.45-3.15pm.

Fees of £1.50 per child over six months old are payable on attendance.
